Welcome Parents & Students,

I'm excited about joining the GSIC family.  I will be teaching U.S. History and World History this school year, both subjects I thoroughly enjoy.   

I have been teaching for 30+ years, predominately in private or classical school settings.  I received my Bachelors from NGU in Dahlonega over 30 years ago and my Masters about 3 years ago.  I love to read, learn and research things I don't know.  As a life-long learner, I try to instill that same excitement for discovery in my students.     

I have been married for over 27 years, have two married sons and two big dogs.  I grew up in the CSRA but moved my senior year of high school to Virginia, then returned to Georgia for college and, after several more moves, landed at our current home in Dearing in 2008.  We raise chickens, grow veggies and watch birds.  I enjoy traveling, whitewater rafting, camping in the mountains, rappelling, snow skiing and my happy place is the beach in winter.  

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone this upcoming year.
