Welcome to high school English! I am so excited about teaching you this year! My name is D'Lee Pollock-Moore, aka Mrs. P, and I have been teaching high school English for fifteen years. Please watch this video about me: Meet Mrs. Pollock-Moore
Your syllabus is also available here: 9th & 10th Grade ELA Syllabus
Please have your parent complete and sign the student information sheet on the third page of your syllabus. It needs to be returned to me by September 15th. You can complete it with a PDF writer like Kami and return it electronically in Google Classroom.
This year we will be using a Learning Management System called Google Classroom. If you have a smart phone, I highly recommend that you install the gmail and Google Classroom app on your phone. Once you the school provides you with your email address and password, you will be able to sign-in to your school Google account and add my class in your Google Classroom account using the codes below. You will only be able to join the class through your school Google account.

*We are asking that students purchase their own copies of the novels this year to decrease the amount of sharing supplies due to Covid-19. We will have a few copies available in the classroom, but ideally everyone should purchase his or her own physical copy. The spring novel for 10th grade will be announced before we leave for winter break. Ninth grade students should purchase just the 9th grade books, and tenth grade students should purchase just the 10th grade books. The rest of the supply list is the same for all 9th and 10th grade students for ELA classes.
