    April 17th (Friday): Progress Reports go home; Quiz; Learn basic CPR; practice our 2 mile run, Orienting/Geocaching & Power Lifting

    April 21st (Tuesday): Text book TEST DAY - test will cover Chapters 26 and 27

    April 23rd (Thursday): Chapter 28 notes

    April 28th (Tuesday): Quiz on Chapter 28; Cumulative Review for our Class

    April 30th (Thursday): Cumulative Review for our Class

    May 1st (Friday): Run 2 miles (timed); Relay Races and Soccer

    May 5th (Tuesday): EOC Testing for Core Classes; Cumulative Review for our class

    May 7th (Thursday): Cumulative Review for our Class

    May 14th (Thursday): Urban Garden Project due (this will count as your Final Exam grade)

    May 15th (Friday): Volleyball (and maybe Quidditch)

    May 19th (Tuesday): Outdoor Activities

    May 20th (Wednesday): Reports cards go home

    May 21st (Thursday): End of year celebration

    May 22nd (Friday): Last Day of School

  • Training for your 2 mile run

    Over the next 7 months we will be training for you to complete a 2 mile run in 22 minutes. You can do this! Timed run is May 1st

    When we first talked about running the 1 mile in 12 minutes many people groaned but 78 out of 80 people completed the mile in 12 minutes and the remaining 2 completed it within the 15 minute limit... and you only had 60 days to prepare! Those facts speak volumes about your abilities! It also gives me great confidence you can complete the 2 mile run in 22 minutes.

    The attached PDF document provide a suggested training schedule I've collated from several online training sites.  We will also be training in class more frequently. At the end of the year I hope you prove to yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to! and perhaps sign-up to run your first 5K (which is only 3 miles)!
